Festive family fun at the Calderwood Family Fun Fair and Outdoor Cinema!
Our community joined together on Saturday 10th December at the District Park, to celebrate the holiday season at the Calderwood Valley Family Fun Fair and Outdoor Cinema.
Calderwood Valley residents brought their camping chairs and picnic blankets along to the District Park at 5pm, for a free double Christmas movie screening under the stars. Families were treated to a free BBQ sausage sizzle, as well as delicious free popcorn and ice cream for a real outdoor cinema experience!
Kids enjoyed getting into the festive spirit with free face painting, and were surprised by a special guest appearance from Santa and his helpers, who came all the way from the North Pole to spread the Christmas cheer.
Calderwood Valley Social Impact Manager, Alison Ora said the night was a glowing success. “It was fantastic to see our residents come together with their neighbours for this special community Christmas event,” said Alison. “The visit from Santa and his helpers was a big hit with the children and a very special way to get them into the Christmas spirit as we head into the holiday season.”
