Education

In addition to a range of nearby childcare centres and schools, including the Albion Park Primary School, Calderwood Christian School and Tullimbar Public School, Calderwood Valley plans to have its own primary schools for children between kindergarten and year 6, a high school for year 7 to year 12 students and a childcare centre. 

Tertiary education is easily accessible, with the University of Wollongong only a 20 minute drive from Calderwood Valley. 


 

Shopping

Convenience is at the heart of Calderwood Valley. Woolworths and ALDI are just around the corner and Shellharbour Square and Wollongong Central are all within a short drive away.

Sprout Café is already open for the community and hosted by local operator Bean Roasted. While the local tavern the Plough & Ale Inn is now open, featuring a family-friendly modern restaurant and bar, outdoor dining areas, function spaces, a gaming room and a children’s playground.

Plans have been approved for the Calderwood Valley Village Centre. Designed by BN Group, this state-of-the-art $50 million neighbourhood centre will feature a full-line Woolworths supermarket, childcare centre, gym facility, swim school, medical & allied health services and veterinary clinic. The centre will also feature a fantastic outdoor dining precinct and twenty specialty tenants including a bakery, butcher, and cafes, ensuring residents have an array of options right on their doorstep. Construction set to commence in 2023.
