District Park

District Park is the largest park that we have delivered so far at Calderwood Valley. It spans 3.2 hectares, which is roughly the equivalent of 3 football fields.

There is ample open green space for you to throw a frisbee, kick a ball, fly a kite or have a family picnic!

To help you host the best possible picnic, we have two undercover areas with electric barbeques and seating. While you enjoy your day in the sun with a cool beverage in hand overlooking the lake, the kids will have plenty to keep them active and entertained. We have a water-play zone with levers and buttons for the kids to interact with and try not to get wet… or get wet depending on the weather!

For the kids that love to climb we have a 3.5-metre-high climbing frame by 4 metres wide. For the younger kids they can enjoy themselves on a smaller scale climbing frame.

The kids can shoot some hoops with the family on our half basketball court and enjoy themselves on the bowl swing.

We haven’t forgotten about the adults, who can walk, run or cycle on the path that will connect District Park through to the Display Village and in the future, will also connect through to the Sportsground. Around District Park there is exercise equipment, so you can focus on your arms and core as part of your daily exercise regime.

The park will also have public Wi-Fi, so when the sun is out and shining there will be no better place to choose as your home office! The park will also boast an outdoor amphitheatre and amenity block for future events or shows.

Please note that District Park is not currently available for large events of more than 50 people, other than those facilitated by Lendlease. This is because there is further equipment due for installation and the grasses and landscape require time to bed down and establish. Events on Lendlease assets are managed by the Community Coordinator who will be able to provide information and guidance regarding Safety compliance and event management requirements if you have any further questions. These requirements are developed in consultation with Safety and Risk policies and procedures of both Lendlease and Shellharbour City Council, which will eventually own the asset. If you would like to discuss this further, please call the customer service centre on 1300 733 245 and Lendlease thanks you for your understanding.
