Werribee Mercy Hospital undergoing multi-million $$ expansion to meet the needs of Wyndham’s growing population!
Did you know that in 2016 there were 3,781 babies born at Werribee Mercy Hospital including 21 sets of twins?! If you are looking for experienced and high quality medical staff to look after you and your family, this is a hospital at the forefront of healthcare services.
Werribee Mercy Hospital provides public hospital care to all families in Werribee and its surrounds including the Harpley community. The hospital provides everything from a 24 hour emergency room to clinical care, critical care and even home care services for women (domiciliary care).
For many Harpley families the maternity and neonatal unit may become a very familiar place. Here midwives care for expectant mothers from prenatal check-ups through the birth to postnatal management (such as breastfeeding support services). All the maternity rooms at Werribee Mercy Hospital are single rooms which means you and your family can spend quality bonding time with your new baby in private. There is also a small outdoor playground so that older siblings can be entertained when they come to visit baby at the hospital.
If English is not your first language, be sure to ask about the free and confidential interpreter service available at Werribee Mercy Hospital.
The facilities at Werribee Mercy Hospital continue to improve and get better too. In 2018 they expect the number of babies born in the maternity unit to increase to 3800. By mid-year there will also be a $93 million expansion of the hospital to improve and upgrade facilities including the addition of new operating theatres.
Werribee Mercy Hospital is located at 300 Princes Highway, Werribee, tel: (03) 8754 3000.
