Yarrabilba to date

Since its launch in 2012, Yarrabilba has become home to over 6,000 residents, making it the number one selling project in Logan and within the top three highest selling residential communities in SEQ.

Close to 3,000 residential lots have been sold to date and the first neighbourhoods include:

  • Coles supermarket
  • IGA and convenience centre (cafes, restaurants, bottle shop and bakery)
  • 24/7 Caltex Service Station and Star Mart
  • St Clare’s Primary School
  • Yarrabilba State Primary School
  • Two childcare centres – Sparrow Early Learning and Harmony Early Learning
  • Yarrabilba medical hub – doctors, skin clinic, QML and TerryWhite Pharmacy
  • McDonald’s
  • $5million Darlington Parklands
  • $4million Buxton Park
  • Shaw Street oval –tennis and netball courts
  • Bridgestone Tyre & Auto Service
  • Vet hospital

Yarrabilba will eventually become home to more than 45,000 people.

Sandstone Ridge

Elevated living, designed by nature, Sandstone Ridge provides the chance to live among nature in an intimate residential address unlike any other. Located in the north-east pocket of Yarrabilba, Sandstone Ridge is bordered by landscaped parklands and kilometres of ruggered bushland.

Stages 1-4a are now registered, with stages 4b-8 currently programmed for Apr-18 registration.

Wickham Rise

Enveloped in the lush, green surrounds of Plunkett Conservation Park, Wickham Rise takes full advantage of its mountainous backdrop and views to Wickham Peak. With shops, community facilities, sporting fields and schools right on your doorstep, Wickham Rise provides the perfect balance between nature and every day convenience.

Stages 1-5 are currently under construction with stages 1-3 programmed for May-18 registrations.

Infrastructure and landscape

Yarrabilba is serviced by the OptiComm Fibre to the Premises Network delivering residents Free-to-Air TV and fast internet.

A native food trail 'Jinnung Jalli', located in Sandstone Ridge, is currently under construction and this is due for completion in September 18.

Works are also currently under way to extend Yarrabilba Drive down to Wickham Rise and these works are schedule for completion in May 2018.

Parks, playgrounds and sportsgrounds

Yarrabilba currently offers a number of district and neighbourhood parks. Darlington Parklands was delivered in 2014 and boasts a water play area, outdoor gym, multi-purpose courts and 30m flying fox. Our second district park, Buxton Park includes a wetland area, bird hide, in-ground trampolines, outdoor gym with a training app and play tower. This park will also feature two dog off leash areas, due to open in March/April 2018.

Shaw Street Oval sporting precinct was opened in 2014 and provides tennis and netball courts, a community garden and dog park. The communities' second lot of sporting fields will be completed in 2020.

There are also a number of additional neighbourhood parks including Greenstone Park, Daybreak Park and Foxx Park.

Other parks scheduled to open shortly include Sandstone Park in Oct 2018 and a neighbourhood park in Wickham Rise in early 2019.

Community and facilities

Yarrabilba’s first permanent sports and community hub is due to open late 2018. A self-storage facility will commence construction in March 2018 and a Day Surgery will be onsite for construction in June 2018.

Yarrabilba's first high schools have now been committed with the state high due to open in 2020 and the private high school in 2022.

There are also over 30 active groups and clubs in Yarrabilba, including the Yarrabilba Community Association who provide an access point for residents to connect with local initiatives as well as running events including Carols in the Parklands.

The community is home to a monthly Mingle Market - an arts, craft and food market hosted on the first Friday of every month. A fresh food farmers market also takes place in Darlington Parklands on the first Sunday of the month.
