Brisbane, 24 March, 2017: The Honourable Jackie Trad, Deputy Premier, Minister for Transport and Minister for Infrastructure and Planning, Ipswich Mayor Paul Pisasale and Springfield Land Corporation joined Lendlease today to celebrate the official launch of Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain.
For over 50 years, Lendlease has been dedicated to creating the best communities in Australia with Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain the newest community for Greater Springfield in South East Queensland.
Located in the suburb of Spring Mountain, Springfield Rise sits between Springfield Central and White Rock Spring Mountain Conservation Reserve, connecting directly to Lendlease’s first Springfield community, the award-winning Springfield Lakes.
With over 560 lots already sold, the 415-hectare site will deliver approximately 4,000 homes comprising more than 50 hectares of open space, including 13 local parks, three district parks, natural linear reserves, kilometres of walking and hiking tracks and cycling paths connecting to the Springfield town centre.
Managing Director of Lendlease’s Communities business, Matthew Wallace said Lendlease is excited to offer customers a lifestyle choice with access to great facilities right on their doorstep.
“Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain is a great opportunity to be part of a master planned community with amenities that create great places and with residents able to enjoy the amenity of Springfield Lakes,” he said.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Infrastructure and Planning Jackie Trad said that the region would be a significant driver of jobs and economic development in coming years.
“This new community will deliver 675 construction jobs per year over the next ten years and more than 500 ongoing jobs once completed.
“This is fantastic news for the local economy in Ipswich and the investment here really demonstrates the confidence in this region.
“We know that the Springfield area is going from strength to strength with people recognising that it’s a great place to live, work and raise families,” Ms Trad said.
Currently under construction are Forest Ridge and Park Lane, Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain’s first residential addresses, with lots ranging in size from 240 square metres to 640 square metres. Land is priced from $170,000 for a 240 square metre block.
Amenities include an expanding Orion Springfield Central including cinemas, cafes, and restaurants with Orion Lagoon across the road. Health City, a unique 52 hectare medical and wellness precinct is nearby, incorporating the planned 1,200-bed Mater Private Hospital.
Residents will enjoy easy access to an extensive range of private and public schools, including a new primary school planned for Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain. Opportunities for further study are available too, with the University of Southern Queensland adjacent to the project.
Springfield Rise at Spring Mountain is located 17 kilometres from Ipswich CBD and approximately 28 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. It is conveniently linked to Brisbane’s International Airport by the Gateway Motorway, and the Gold Coast via the M1.
