Since the end of January the Harpley community has had the benefit of 23 new trains weekly running along the Geelong line, says the Public Transport Victoria website. This includes an additional morning service that stops at Wyndham Vale Station city bound at 8.43am and Tarneit finishing at Southern Cross Station.

Wyndham City’s Get Wyndham Moving website also says that two more services to the city will stop at Tarneit in the morning peak and two more Sunday services to and from Waurn Ponds will stop at Wyndham Vale and Tarneit.

To better cope with this, some of the bus timetables across the network have also been adjusted for more convenient connections between buses and trains, according to the Public Transport Victoria website.

The Andrews Labor Government’s 2016-2017 Victorian Budget also set aside $280 million for new carriages along regional lines.

The Get Wyndham Moving website also says that another train timetable change is expected for mid-2017 which could potentially mean even more services for the Harpley community.
