Development Updates


Information provided below is correct as at 22 August 2017

Flame Tree (Stage 1) address

The Flame Tree address is located next to the Macquarie Rivulet and close to the future Village Centre and district park.

Development of lots in the Flame Tree (Stage 1) address is complete.

All lots in release areas A, B, C and D are ready for future residents to begin building their homes.

A warm welcome to our new residents who have already moved into their homes in release area A and future Flame Tree address residents who will be moving in soon!

The Oaks (Stage 2) address

The Oaks (Stage 2) address is bound by open space and is near the future sporting fields, Village Centre and the education precinct.

Lots in release area A1 are expected to register with LPI in Oct 2017.

Lots in release area A2 and A3 are expected to register late 2017.

Development of lots in release area 2B is progressing well. Registration and settlements are still currently forecasted for late 2017.

We are currently waiting for Development Approval of future release areas, further updates will be provided.

All timings are subjected to weather and authority approvals.

Rosewood (Stage 3) address

The Rosewood address is bound by the Riparian Corridor and located close to the future town centre.

All lots in release area A are now sold out. Construction will commence in late-2017 (subject to weather and authority approvals) and settlement is anticipated in mid-late 2018.

Infrastructure and landscape

We have made great progress in building infrastructure for the community.

The entry boulevard into Calderwood Valley is now complete. Drive in to see the traditional rammed earth wall designed to complement the escarpment and surrounding trees representing the four seasons of the year.

All roads and streetscapes throughout the Flame Tree (Stage 1) address are complete and progressing well throughout The Oaks (Stage 2) address.

Ultra-high speed Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) has now been installed at Calderwood Valley, providing Free-to-Air TV and fast internet to residents.

The Djindi Bridge (‘Djindi’ meaning ‘mist’ in the Dharawal Language), passing over the Macquarie Rivulet and one of the longest bridges in the Illawarra, was also completed and officially opened in May 2017.

Parks, playgrounds and sportsgrounds

We are building spaces for you to relax, interact and be active.

Flame Tree Park, located within release area A, was completed in December 2016 and the neighbourhood park in release area D is scheduled to open later this year.

Fig Tree Park construction has commenced and will open to the public early 2018. Spanning 3.2 hectares, the park will be a destination in the Illawarra and will feature a children’s playground, adventure park, picnic and barbeque areas and facilities, kick-about spaces, hike and bike trails, a lake and boardwalks.

1D park is under construction with completion anticipated for late 2017 along with our District park to open early 2018.

Community and facilities

We are building the facilities for the growing community in Calderwood Valley.

Sprout Hub, a part café, part community space venue, opened in April 2017. Read more about our partnership with Sprout Ventures and local operator Bean Roasted.

Our new Sales and Information Centre is now open. Built using Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), the centre demonstrates our commitment to using renewable building materials.

Our new Display Home Village, the largest in the Illawarra, is now open. It features 37 homes from 20 builders, with every variety for your next home design adventure.

Upon completion, Calderwood Valley will provide education, shopping and services to residents. We are in early discussions with the Department of Education to deliver a primary and high school, and working on designs for a landmark Village centre and Town centre.
