Development Updates

Information provided below is correct as at March 2018

Development to date

Since launching in 2015, Calderwood Valley has been developing at an unprecedented rate!

We have sold over 1,000 lots. The 221 lots in the Flame Tree (Stage 1) address are ready for future residents to begin building their homes on. Development of the three release areas within The Oaks (Stage 2) address are progressing as quickly as possible. All 248 lots in the Rosewood (Stage 3) release area A are now sold out and construction has commenced.

Our Sales and Information Centre is now on site, the site’s entry boulevard is complete, the Sprout Hub community centre and Display Home Village are open, we have delivered the neighbourhood park in Stage 1 – Flame Tree Park – and the Djindi Bridge passing over the Macquarie Rivulet was opened in May 2017. Please enjoy our latest drone video beside this update.

Flame Tree (Stage 1) address

The Flame Tree (Stage 1) address is located next to the Macquarie Rivulet and close to the future village centre and Fig Tree Park.

Development of lots in Flame Tree address is complete.

All lots in release areas A, B, C and D are ready for future residents to begin building their homes.

A warm welcome to our new residents who have already moved into their homes and future Flame Tree address residents who will be moving in soon!

The Oaks & Primrose (Stage 2) address

The Oaks, stage 2A1 (lots 2001-2116) is on track to be settled in April 2018.
Mortgage lender valuations can begin by appointment. Please contact 9392 4203 to make an appointment.

For the remaining stages of The Oaks, stage 2A2 (lots 2201-2248), stage 2A3 (lots 2301-2362) and stage 2B (lots 2401-2678), we are waiting to hear confirmation that the ACM clean up is complete from the contractor. We are on track for the lots to be settled by May 2018.

Construction of Primrose, stage 2C (lots 3401-3552) will begin soon with settlement anticipated in late 2019.

Rosewood (Stage 3) address

Rosewood, stage 3A (lots 3005-3327) is progressing well with earthworks nearing completion. The stage is on target for anticipated settlement in late 2018.

Infrastructure and landscape

All roads and streetscapes throughout Flame Tree, stage 1 are complete and progressing well throughout The Oaks, stage 2. Rosewood, stage 3A will see the extension of Escarpment Drive to Calderwood Road. This will be an important milestone for our community as the extension will provide access to our future town centre and provide another entry into Calderwood Valley. Traffic detours will remain in place on parts of Cattle Road (formerly North Macquarie Road) during these essential roadworks.

Ultra-high speed fibre to the premises (FTTP) is being progressively rolled out at Calderwood Valley, providing free-to-air TV and fast internet to residents. Djindi Bridge (‘Djindi’ meaning ‘mist’ in the Dharawal Language), crossing the Macquarie Rivulet is now open and is one of the longest bridges in the Illawarra.

Parks, playgrounds and sportsgrounds

We understand that it is important to have an outdoor communal area for the community to relax, interact and be active.

We currently have two parks open for use, Flame Tree Park near the Display Village finished in December 2016 and Pine Tree Park on Meander Drive finished February 2018. Construction work continues on Fig Tree Park with the grand-opening anticipated mid-year. Upon completion the park will span 3.2 hectares and will feature a lake, children’s playground, adventure park, picnic and barbeque areas, kick-about spaces and trails for walking and cycling.

Community and facilities

We are building the facilities for the growing community of Calderwood Valley.
