Paying your deposit
Paying a deposit on land is an exciting milestone in your new home journey. It is important to understand the process and what to expect;
A holding deposit of $3,000 for your selected lot is required which allows five business days to get your finance pre-approved before signing a contract and paying the full 10% deposit.
An acknowledgment receipt will be provided at the time of payment.
If you decide not to proceed with the purchase after you have paid your holding deposit, you will need to notify us in writing within five days of the payment. You will receive a refund for the full amount by cheque within 28 business days of receiving your written notice of cancellation.
Keep in mind that there are fees involved in buying a house, including government stamp duty, property searches, legal fees, mortgage insurance and loan application fees. You can get an indication of these fees by talking to a home loan advisor who can help you understand if there are any additional costs you need to know about.
The balance of your full deposit is payable at your contract signing appointment.
