Development Updates


Information provided below is correct as at 19th March 2018.

Development to Date

Since launching in 2015, Aurora has been busy constructing new parks, roads and residential stages!

Aurora has sold over 1,000 lots. The 545 lots in the Edgars Creek precinct have all been completed with titles received and purchasers settled, ready to build their homes on. Aurora has already welcomed over 200 new residents now living in the Edgars Creek precinct from Stages 1 - 6. The Prospect precinct is sold out with construction commenced on all stages. Stage 11 & 12 have titled and settlements are underway. Stage 14 isn't far from title and residents have been notified or will soon be notified to prepare for settlement.

The brand new 38 home display village is now open showcasing the best in new home designs, open 7 days and located on the corner of Craigieburn Road East & Edgars Road, Wollert.

Prospect Stage 11 & 12

Stage 11 Congratulations to all Stage 11 purchasers who have now settled their lots. Some building plans have been received and new homes are commencing construction.

Stage 12: Titles have registered and settlements have commenced. Congratulations to the first Stage 12 purchasers who are now officially land owners!

Prospect Stage 14, 15 & 16

Stage 14 - All services have been installed and construction is complete. Titles are expected in April 2018.

Stage 15 – Road pavement and electrical installation is almost complete, concrete works are expected to commence shortly. Titles are expected between April 2018 and May 2018.

Stage 16 – Road pavement and electrical installation is underway. Titles are expected between April 2018 and June 2018.

Prospect Stage 17

Water installation is complete with electrical and roads earmarked to commence shortly. Titles are expected between May 2018 and July 2018.

Prospect Stage 19 & 20

Stage 19 – Electrical, concrete and pavement construction is underway. Titles are expected between June 2018 and August 2018.

Stage 20 - Sewer, drainage and watermain installation is complete. Electrical and concrete works have commenced. Titles are expected between June 2018 and August 2018.

Infrastructure and landscape

We are experiencing unforeseeable delays with the compliance auditing process that is required prior to this road opening. We are endeavouring to expedite this process where possible and apologise for the inconvenience the ongoing closure is causing. We will advise an opening date as soon as possible. All streetscapes in the Edgars Creek precinct have been completed and streetscapes in the Prospect precinct have recently commenced within Stages 11 and 12 and are soon to commence in Stage 14.

Parks, playgrounds and sportsgrounds

Aurora has an abundance of new parks to explore!

The entry park located on Craigieburn Road East is an architectural kinetic play space inspired by the Aurora Australis or Southern Lights night sky. Equipped with a rain shelter, electric BBQ, drinking fountains and play equipment the Aurora entry park is the gateway to a fun day out with the family.

The Treetops Park & Boardwalk Park are two more unique play spaces located in Edgars Creek precinct and feature climbing nets, swings, tunnels, and slides. Treetops Park is also equipped with shelter and a community BBQ.

Community and facilities

Edgars Creek Secondary College construction is well underway by the Education Department. The college commenced year 7 curriculum from Mernda College this week. The college is set to open its doors from Term 3 2018. Download the Education in the North brochure for a map view of early learning, primary, secondary and tertiary education in and around Aurora.

The Aurora Village Shopping Centre opened in June 2017 and offers a Coles Supermarket, ALDI, 24 hr gym, medical centre and a variety of specialty stores and cafes to cover your everyday needs! Located on Harvest Home Road, Epping.

The Aurora Sprout Hub Community Cafe turn's One! The community facility offers a space for meetings and informal co-working space, somewhere to grab a coffee, and a chance to engage in the new local community with 10% of all proceeds are donated back to local community groups!
